Happy winter break!
So every school in this half of the state is closed. Crazy. Some districts are trying to squeeze in make-up days in the middle of the year instead of cutting into the summer. The UW was smart enough to schedule the break so that no days would be missed. But I suppose there could be more snow in January or beyond.
I messed up my sleep schedule. I woke up at 4PM yesterday and I'll probably stay up until 8AM. I still want to program, but I keep getting distracted. I did make a few adjustments to Vortices, so that's something, but I would rather move on to newer projects or at least add some major features.
I found two really cool videos. One is from an old movie and is about an egg-eating bet. The other is a music video from a really cool band, CSS, and has trick photos. The song is insanely catchy, on the order of Side Ponytail.
I am afraid to go outside. It's toasty in here.
P.S. CSS is also famous for a song featured in an iPod commercial. True story, the commercial was originally fan-made because someone noticed that the lyrics were appropriate--"My music is where I'd like you to touch."--but Apple picked it up as a televised commercial. The song is called "Music Is My Hot Hot Sex". I was so impressed that I downloaded two of their albums. CSS stands for Cansei der Ser Sexy, Portugese for "got tired of being sexy". This came from a Beyonce Knowles quote.
